Orders can be made at any time but must be placed by midday on Monday for delivery on Thursday & Friday of the same week. Orders may also be placed in advance: you could place an order, for example, before you go on holiday so a delivery awaits your return.

By telephone – To place an order by telephone, please call 01799 586776   between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00. Outside of these times please leave your name and contact number on the answer machine and we will return your call.

By fax – You may fax your order to 01799 586776

For all orders, we will need the following information:
• Name, contact address, delivery address (if different) including postcode and contact telephone number.
• Product description, quantity and ideally product code.
• Means of payment (cash, cheque or card)

Once your order has been taken, it will be gathered in from suppliers. All fresh food is bought to order, but we do hold stock of other items, so let us know if there is something that you have forgotten and we will try to help.

All meat will be cut as close to requested weight as possible. All meat prices are based on exact weight and will be charged accordingly. Therefore it may not be possible to give an exact figure when you place your order, although we will be able to give you a guide price.

We will contact you by your preferred method (email, text, phone) and confirm the exact amount of your order. We accept cash, cheque (payable to The Food Folk) or major debit/credit cards. We are happy to collect this on delivery, or if you are a regular customer, with your next delivery.

Our orders are hand packed and delivered on Thursdays and Fridays. Once you have placed your order we will let you know the day we are delivering in your area. You do not need to be in, just tell us where to put your order, ideally in a rainproof spot but we will have waterproof coverings if need be. Your chilled food will be delivered in polystyrene boxes with icepacks, other foods in cardboard boxes and paper bags.  Please return them to us when we next deliver so that we can re-use or recycle them (including egg boxes).

We are happy to deliver to a 20-mile radius of Great Sampford. The minimum order is £10 with free delivery within our current delivery area.
